MyTheos Privacy Policy
Summary
MyTheos is a health, fitness, nutrition, and general-purpose companion. Conversations, journal entries, meal photos, and health readings are processed and stored on your device. You can optionally publish an alias and workout leaderboard scores. If you use web research, MyTheos checks each query and sends only a short public query to a third-party web search provider. Personal details are not passed in the search query.
MyTheos does not sell personal or health data, use health information for advertising, or upload raw health readings to its cloud database.
Sign-in and account information
You can create or use a MyTheos account with email and password or a third-party sign-in service. The sign-in provider processes the sign-in credential and account identifier. Depending on the sign-in method, it may also receive your email address and profile name. MyTheos creates a cloud profile with a display alias and your leaderboard participation choice.
Health information
If you connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect, MyTheos reads only the categories you select. These can include steps, sleep, workouts, activity energy, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, and body weight. MyTheos processes readings locally to show health summaries and trends. Raw health readings are not sent to MyTheos's cloud database or included in web search queries.
If you choose to save a meal or completed workout to Apple Health or Android Health Connect, MyTheos writes that record to the selected health service. Disconnecting MyTheos or deleting your MyTheos account does not delete records already stored in Apple Health or Android Health Connect. Manage or remove those records in that health service.
Conversations, journal records, and photos
Conversations, workout and meal records, selected meal photos, and downloaded AI models are stored on your device. The local database is encrypted on the device. Meal photos are processed on the device and are not uploaded to MyTheos's servers. A data export is created temporarily on the device for the system share sheet; you control where you send it.
Optional leaderboard
If you turn on “Appear on the leaderboard,” MyTheos sends an alias and derived weekly and monthly workout scores to the cloud database. Scores are based on workout visit counts and total logged training load. The public leaderboard displays the alias, points, and ranking. It does not display your email, raw workouts, or raw health readings. Turn participation off in the app to stop future publication; deleting your account removes the profile and its score records.
Web research
When you ask MyTheos to research a public topic, the app checks the query against privacy rules. Queries that may contain personal details are refused. Only a short public query with no personal details is sent through a secure server function to a third-party web search provider, which returns public search results. Do not include private, identifying, or health record details in research searches.
Diagnostics
Technical diagnostics are stored locally with a short retention limit. They use allowlisted component and error codes and do not include prompts, model output, health values, or record contents. MyTheos does not upload diagnostic records.
How information is used and service providers
MyTheos uses information to provide sign-in, local conversation and journal features, health summaries, requested health-service writes, optional leaderboard participation, and web research. It does not use health or fitness information for advertising, insurance decisions, employment decisions, or sale to data brokers.
Third-party services support account sign-in, the optional leaderboard database, web-search requests, and model file downloads. A web search provider returns public results when you request research. An account provider processes sign-in when you choose that method. A model hosting provider supplies model files for download to your device. MyTheos requires these providers to protect personal information they process to a standard consistent with this policy and to use it only to provide their services. They may also process technical connection information, such as an IP address, while providing those services. MyTheos does not send raw health readings, conversations, or meal photos to those services as part of the current app implementation.
Retention and deletion
Local conversations, health summaries, meals, workouts, photos, and exports remain on your device until you delete them, delete your local data in MyTheos, or uninstall the app. The app's local-data deletion action removes local profile records and photos but does not delete your MyTheos sign-in.
You can permanently delete your MyTheos account from the app's profile settings. Account deletion removes the sign-in account, cloud profile, alias, and leaderboard scores, and removes the local MyTheos profile data on that installation. The downloaded model is kept. Records already written to Apple Health or Android Health Connect remain there. You can also submit a request from the MyTheos account deletion page.
Some providers may retain security or operational logs for limited periods under their own retention policies. Confirm the current cloud and third-party web search provider retention terms before publishing this policy.
Your choices
- Choose which health categories MyTheos can read or write when you connect Apple Health or Android Health Connect.
- Disconnect health access in MyTheos or revoke permissions in Apple Health or Android Health Connect.
- Turn leaderboard participation on or off at any time.
- Export or delete local MyTheos data in Profile.
- Delete your MyTheos account in Profile or through the account deletion web page.
- Uninstall MyTheos to remove app data from the device, subject to operating-system behavior and any copies you exported.
Security
MyTheos encrypts its local database and uses HTTPS for cloud requests. The app does not contain a privileged cloud database key. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free; protect your device and any exported files.
Children
MyTheos is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us to request deletion.
Changes and contact
